What to Expect During Your Wellbeing Scan in Sheffield

Your appointment will take place in a calm, welcoming environment at our Sheffield clinic. One of our qualified and friendly sonographers will guide you through the process, explain what will be checked, and answer any questions before the scan begins.

This Scan Includes:

  • Evaluation of fetal wellbeing – A thorough assessment of your baby's development and overall health

  • Heartbeat confirmation – Hear and see your baby’s heartbeat

  • Placenta and fetal position – Understand where your baby and placenta are located

  • Visual check of major organs and limbs – A full review of baby’s growth and movements

  • Observation for potential abnormalities – If anything of concern is noted, we’ll explain it clearly and advise on next steps

Although this is not a formal anomaly scan, it can highlight issues that may need further review or referral.
